HALF DIVERGING DIAMOND INTERCHANGE

The last Alternative we looked into was a ½ diverging diamond Interchange, which would replicate most of the design features that were present in the ½ tight diamond interchange with one key characteristic, that would allow the intersection of the Westbound 138 traffic to be located on the Westbound side of 138, increasing our storage length and providing “through like” movements at the intersection provided by the crossovers in this design as shown on the Screen. In order for this Design to be implemented, we would also need to provide two separate bridges for Westbound 138 off/on-Ramps that ultimately increased the cost of this design.

For this design, we created a GAD and an APS which both can be found under Project Deliverables.
